My dear grandma I want so much to let you know
How important you are to me
For too long I have held you at arm's length
Afraid to let you in
You’re the only person that's always been there
Through the tears and fears
The ups and downs
And through the thick and thin
When I was a little girl
I was so frightened of you
How I wish I'd spent more time with you
Now times running out
I want to stop the clock from ticking and taking you away
I want to remember every story you ever told
Every word you had to say
I don't ever want to forget you
Not even when I'm old
